This national Public Sector Framework provides a full range of refit and refurbishment related works UK wide, across a range of value bands and geographical areas. The framework provides opportunities for our client to secure work on varying public sector bodies across the UK. Being a contractor on this framework allows our client to create a positive social value impact, by developing their workforce through upskilling school leavers, supporting people through foundation degrees in management and craft, support to local job centres and colleges, and engagement in local schools.
Through a variety of workshops and interviews with our client, WeBid developed an SME Social Value strategy, enabling even the smallest of local businesses to contribute to growing local economies. This strategy included:
- Shared apprenticeship schemes
- Contributing to local school Career Fayres
- Presentations to vulnerable learners on the range of opportunities the construction industry can bring under our, ‘It’s about more than hard hats.’
To fulfil the Pagabo requirements for delivering the Construction Playbook and Constructing the Gold Standard we took our client through an exercise of reviewing all their relevant policies to ensure they met these standards. Through this we were able to create a high quality, detailed submission that successfully secured our client onto this framework.
